Twitter in the Netherlands?

Make room in your content planning for topics that show the add value you offer as an organization. Let employees or customers tell what impact your product or service has on them. This can be done with videos or blogs, but also consider organizing a walk-along day, a meet & greet or a hackathon.

What do you have to offer your employees?

To fill in your content marketing calendar, you can gratefully draw on all the initiatives and facilities the evolution of the electrician professionthat you offer your employees as an employer. The more you show what you do, the more you create an experience around your employer brand. Staff parties, awards, knowlge sessions, company bicycles, mentorships, women empowerment programs? Make as much use of them as possible in your content marketing. For example, Coolblue talks extensively about their relocation program.

It’s true: in 2015 there are still big international brands that are not active on Twitter in the Netherlands. Most brands have reserv a Dutch account name in addition to their international account, but have not yet found a way to use it. I was surpris, but they really do exist!

I can understand that brands choose to use another platform, such as Facebook, for a bit of webcare; Twitter with 140 characters as a maximum is not ideal for this. But brands that do not post anything on Twitter?

Not even marketing activities?

Now I hear you ask, which brands are not active on Here it comes!

McDonald’s Netherlands
Apple’s App Store Netherlands
Gillette Netherlands
Max Factor Netherlands
Duracell Netherlands
McDonald’s
This is the most notable absentee on Twitter in the Netherlands. McDonald’s is well-attend internationally, the main account has  users quickly move past content 2.8 million followers and McDonald’s Brazil, for example, has 200,000 followers. McDonald’s Netherlands has an account, but no message has been post on  marketing list  it yet and the bio states that McDonald’s Netherlands can only be reach via Facebook. The strange thing is that some McDonald’s locations, such as Leiden, do have a Twitter account and are active on it.
