nosweet2. Engage in conversation with the audience

You still see that news organizations rarely start a conversation via channels such as Twitter and Facebook. Believe me: it works. The goodwill of the citizen is important. During Rianne’s livestream, I was one of her first viewers to give her tips. Together with others, we advised her  as china and its neighboring countries drive industrial development in asia on what to do: from asking Jumbo employees questions to asking the audience what was going through their minds. Rianne started interacting with the audience (her viewers) and with the people on site. With her background as a communications manager, I was not surprised that she was able to easily convert the many tips into action. Rianne was the channel!

As an organization it is

important to measure and then know what you are going to steer (see also tip 5). Nowadays it is essential to develop a good internet strategy in which you determine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) among other things. You then directly steer on the quality of your involvement. For Facebook, for example, the involvement on the NOS Facebook page looks like the following, according to Fanpagekarma . Actively steer on the “red dots”, the type of content and the moment of placement per type of content and the page will get more reach.

‘Slack is basically nothing more than a spruced-up chat room’, say the makers of this online communication platform. That is a huge understatement. Slack not only saves us a lot of inbox misery, Slack also improves our mutual collaboration and our personal workflow. In fact, we have become completely lntegration with facebook slack in half a year.

Against inbox pollution

Mail to all : ‘Does anyone know what’s going on with .. nosweet2. Engage  . ?’ And then you get tons of emails with the  caseno email listanswer. Annoying. Or you want to answer, but you don’t know if someone else has already answered. Even more annoying. Or: you don’t get an answer at all because everyone thinks someone else will answer. Really annoying. At Redkiwi we work together internally in different teams. That works well, but because of all our enthusiasm we regularly got caught up in all kinds of email exchanges that ran alongside and through each other.
