You may have noticed that your 1083 straight jeans do not have the same denim as your slim jeans. Our models are distinguished by their cuts! but also by their fabric. We invite you to discover all our denims here!
By the way! what is denim?
Denim is a fabric that has a twill weave! so it is not a canvas! but a switzerland email list denim twill. Did you say “weave”?! In textiles! this term refers to the way the warp thread (vertical! blue on our raw denims) and the weft thread (horizontal! white) interweave to form the fabric.
In twill! the way they interlace (1 thread on top! 2 threads on bottom! with an offset of 1) increases the thread density and therefore the strength of the fabric! and creates a diagonal effect. By definition! jeans are always made from denim fabric.
The “Nîmes twill” fabric was originally a blend of wool and silk. This fabric could be Fabric Panorama reused and patched! so a basic necessity! it would become the starting point for large-scale trade for the city of Nîmes! and would participate in the growth of the silk industry in the 18th century.
“Modern” denim is still a sturdy twill
When the 1083 adventure began 8 years ago! we started from scratch and relearned how to make this fabric! in order to relocate this ancestral know-how in France. Over the years! we have progressed and what is it and what are the best strategies for romania are proud of the teamwork and continuous improvements that we make in our workshops to weave the most beautiful Denims in France.
The choice of eco-designed denims
At 1083! all our denim fabrics are environmentally friendly.
And this! right from the ecological raw material: organic cotton – that is to say without pesticides – and coming from Tanzania! a country naturally well irrigated with water. For the Infini fabric ! no ba leads cotton! but 100% recycled polyester! recyclable! and returnable to guarantee a return to the loop at the end of its life.
Then there is the transport. The 65!000 kilometers usually traveled by a pair of jeans are divided by 10 thanks to the relocation to France of all the stages of transformation of cotton into jeans. It is our Tissage de France factory! in the Vosges! which manufactures the majority of our fabrics. The other part is made by Tissages de Charlieu in the Loire and by Coublanc Textiles in Saône-et-Loire. To relocate the first stage! cotton! to France! we have devoted all our research since 2016 to recycling cotton from old jeans. In a few months! the first jeans traveling less than 650 km will arrive… that is 100 times less than the 65!000 km journey of conventional jeans!
And the more we relocate in France! the greater the CO2 savings! because our French electrical energy is one of the most carbon-free in the world.
