There are numerous methods to protect flowers from frost. On the one hand, the air temperature can be increas using stoves or anti-frost candles. One method to slow down the radiation and cooling is to cloud the air with smoke.
In recent years, however, there has been increasing emphasis on a different antifreeze method that makes use of the physical properties of water. More specifically, the property that heat is releas when water freezes.
But first, a short physics lesson (minute). We know the different states of water and that they can change into one another through various processes, such as melting or evaporation. Some of these processes require energy (blue arrows, figure below), while others release energy in the form of heat (r arrows, figure below).

Frost protection irrigation relies on the fact that water releases heat when it freezes. Water is spray onto the plants using sprinklers when the temperature is still just above freezing.

As soon as the temperature drops below zero degrees, the film of water tunisia phone number library on the plants begins to freeze. Even if the ambient temperature drops below zero degrees, heat is releas through the continuous freezing. This means that the temperature in the ice (i.e. in the plant) is kept at around 0°C. The cells of the plants also usually have their own frost protection, which lowers the freezing temperature of the cell sap somewhat. This means that they do not freeze at a temperature of 0°C or just below. However, the spraying must be maintain throughout the entire frost period, otherwise the entire plant would freeze.
This method is often us on fruit trees or crops close
to the ground. However, its use requires certain conditions. The all you have to do is enter the csr request in the box temperature should climb above freezing during the day, as prolong spraying could cause ice to break on the plant. Not to mention the large amounts of water requir. Low aero leads wind conditions and sufficient humidity are also necessary for this type of frost protection, as otherwise too much heat is lost through evaporation.
